Word from the Dean
This issue of the Outlook covers our annual scholarship gala, “A Tribute to
Caring,”which was held in honor of VCA Antech, Inc. for its advancement of the
veterinary profession and its role in protecting the public health of our society.
“A Tribute to Caring” was held Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at the Disneyland Hotel in
Anaheim, Calif. Although VCA was co-founded by Robert Antin, Arthur Antin, and
Neil Tauber, Robert Antin was acknowledged as the representative of this forward-
thinking entrepreneurial group. The Western University of Health Sciences Board of
Trustees awarded VCA with the Corporate Award for Excellence in Health Care.
